Blue In Green
7 N. 3rd St.
Philadelphia

In other news, Blue in Green is a happening place to be. It is probably the leading place to take your date, your friend, your lover, your mother or father, yourself or anyone else. It is small, hip-hop, tasty, energetic without being frenetic, trendy without being insulting. I like, I like I like.

A poem in blue in green by Jen Estaris I. I am. Yes. I. Me. Oh yes. I am. I do. I breathe. I sleep. I wake. I eat. I read. I breathe I sleep I wake I eat I read. I breathe art--I sleeplight--I wake to Rachmaninoff--I eat at the small cafe Blue in Green--I read one-word pop-inflicted magazines like Raygun, Wired, Vibe, Cosmo, Paper, Bikini. I breakfast heartily: eggs, bacon, grits, roasted potatoes. Expensive, but so is life. It is worth it. I lunch. I pay $8 for a flimsy vegetarian sandwich. It is not worth it. Instead, the attraction lies close to the slighty dingy walls, the cute mismatched tables, the buzz-hungry-hip eaters, the skinny well-dressed waiters. The yellow is lost. I Sunday brunch at Blue in Green. It's probably the most sane thing I do. I am. Oh yes. Me. I. Yes. I am. I. --jen estaris
